about the lessons

My teaching is positive and heartfelt. Lessons are typically structured with stretching, technique, performance, and time to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns.

Music is powerful and mental health is important. I will aim to only enhance a students life with lessons and strive that they always leave feeling better than when they arrived.

I have experience with many teaching methods - Suzuki, Kodály, Dalcroze, Gordon, and Orff, as well as a certificate in Conversational Solfège. I aim to bring the best of all of these worlds to my students.

The heart of Suzuki, the historical knowledge of Kodály, the physical awareness of Dalcroze, the rhythmic awarness of Gordon, and the playfulness of Orff.

What is a “Hybrid lesson”?

This studio is in person and online. Why? There’s never been a better time to be a musician and learn consistently, using mixed methodologies and the tools of our time we can maximize learning. There are so many online tools that make learning certain topics more accessible for students. For example, theory topics, score studying, performance review, and more! During 2020, I taught 40 hours of online music classes and will bring a plethora of hybrid resources and knowledge to your lessons.
